Confirmed from Three Friends Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small hilltop park for hiking, with 360-degree water views, benches and a picnic area.
What runners say about Three Friends Park
“Beautiful trail to ride a bicycle, walk and also dog friendly.”
“I have been enjoying this serene park since I was 17 years old.”
If I were on the naming committee, I'd call it Island Hill Park. If truth be told, it's hard to conceive of this hidden gem as a park at all. There's a short paved path to the top of the hill, and that's about it. Still, if you walk to the water's edge and walk around the perimeter, it's a pleasant view.
A nice place to relax or walk around. A couple of benches at the top of the hill, but no playground or picnic table
Quiet place with a steep hill path. Great for talking a casual date. (Beware of Runners & cyclist if you decide to be naughty up there). 3 metal benches to sit on (no back support). The ground is paved & flat, also wide enough for a car to drive into. Safe not to because it's surrounded by a river.
Extremely beautiful “park”, but very small. It’s so relaxing. There’s just a very small walking path to the top of a little hill and a couple benches on top. But at the top, there’s like 360 water views which is so cool. I’d like to go back and take a blanket and have a picnic on the ground.
Trail conditions & character
“It is pretty much just a little hill, but it is great for sunset and nice views of the surrounding areas.”

“It's easy to miss, and there's really only enough parking for 3 cars at the entrance, nestled in a residential neighborhood.”
“The top of the hill has a small paved area with three benches and a garbage can; nothing to write home about, but it is a beautiful spot.”
“I went fishing here with my boy and the dog was just going crazy enjoying himself running around the mound.”
