Confirmed from Tinton Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tinton Trailhead
“Beautiful hard packed single track with small rocky areas, mostly shaded by surrounding trees.”
“It's an easy trail that you can pace yourself on if new.”
Excellent trail for all levels. Beautiful hard packed single track with small rocky areas, mostly shaded by surrounding trees. Very few obstacles along the way. Most riders intermediate or better will be able to ride over/through them and they would be good practice for beginners, or can easily be walked.
Well maintained trail. Not too busy. Beautiful scenery and a great afterwork or lunch hiking option if you’re staying in town. Mileage kind of goes forever and eventually links up with other parts of the trail system so you can fully decide how long you want to be on this trail.
My sons and I like riding mountain bikes here. It's an easy trail that you can pace yourself on if new. My youngest has no problem on his 9 speed hard tail. There are some rocky parts and a few tree roots here and there, but not overly technical. Fun ride.
Definitely harder for a newbie at trails, but I can see the appeal of this one. Lots of curves, ups and downs, beautiful scenery. Did get rained on while there so didn't see the whole thing. The trail is not wide, so be warned.

“Tiny parking lot that is gravel with a very steep approach angle so you might have trouble getting in here with a two wheel drive vehicle.”

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
