Confirmed from Town Square Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Town Square Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,166 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Safe, clean and lots of unique things to play on.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“The playground is big and has something for all ages including a water fountain for hot days.”

Its a great park. The zip line is a fav among kids. Its clean and the track is pretty long..i just took off a star coz there is barely any trees in the park..so there isnt a lot of area with shade. On a bright sunny day,u can get pretty hot. They do have covered area with tables but it gets filled pretty fast.

Fun for all ages! Summer time they run the water sprinklers for the kiddos. There's a jungle gym, short and adult size hoop. Also, covered picnic tables for parties and get togethers.

★★★★★ — Wendy , Jul 2023

Went for a run here early in the morning. It's not bad, but it's not designed for that. There's also a nice flight of stairs nearby.

★★★★☆ — Martin , Jul 2023

This park has just about everything one could want in an urban setting - comfortable walking path, large grassy area, playground, beautiful native flora, a pond, a covered picnic area, restrooms, and parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 4 mentions

“Restrooms and water fountains right next to the splash zone area.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • Loop distance9 mi back to where you parked. Long enough for a real long run.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
