We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Trailhead (Marker #1) yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trailhead (Marker #1)

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (28 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“I love an evening run at Mayberry.”

Definitely worth your time checking this place out. They have paved paths and dirt trails that consist of a lot of uphill. I showed up at 9am finished around 12 with 7.25 miles.

Our ScoutsBSA Girls (girls in Boy Scouts) meet here every week, so we can get together during Covid and be in the outdoors, even in January. The fire pit by the trailhead building is perfect for us and we conduct scout-skills or Merit Badges, such as Astronomy, easily.

Maybury State park is always a good choice for something to do.There are a variety of trails for people, bikes and horses as well as some really interesting history involving the tuberculosis sanitarium that used to occupy the site.

★★★★★ — Stephen , Dec 2019

Very nice park that is close to home. Would recommend for walking, but not for biking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 3 mentions

“no indoor restrooms during winter, there is a vault toilet nearby though!”
