Confirmed from Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-maintained trail for bikers, walkers and runners, plus wildlife spotters.
What runners say about Trailhead
“If you are looking for a scenic/serene walking park, Trailhead is worth your time.”
Several miles of paved and dirt trails, alongside a river where several people where kayaking. Went roller blading with with my 2 beautiful dogs, Scruffy and Berry.
Nice access point to the trail along the Clinton River. No real parking lot, just parking along the street. Gets quiet at night! Nice place to start your walk if you want to start at the very beginning of the trail. Connects to dodge park, riverbends and all the other trails along the way.
Beautiful trail. Parking is easy and it is just gorgeous. Ride, walk , run here. You’ll love it
Great trail on the side of clinton river for walking and enjoying nature

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
