We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Truckee River Bike trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Truckee River Bike trail
“Well, it’s right along the road, but it is nice and shaded most of the time beautiful relaxing ride”
A beautiful spot to walk, ride or run along the Truckee River. It’s best to start at Tahoe City or Palisades (Squaw Valley) and make It a round trip. There are many additional bike trails you can enjoy from Tahoe City as well.
This is a great trail. I took it all the way to Olympic Valley, then back the other way along the lake. The route along the lake crosses over the road back and forth numerous times, which is annoying. Other than that it’s a great ride.
Great bike trail that goes next to the Truckee River from Tahoe City to the intersection to the Olympic Valley.
