Confirmed from Turkey Hill's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area featuring kid-friendly trails and ponds.
What runners say about Turkey Hill
“2 mile loop, we’ll marked (vertical blue stripe going counterclockwise and round blue circle going clockwise), beautiful ferns, boulders, ample parking at entrance.”
“Short 2 mile walk but a great trail nonetheless and very well marked”
“This is a very nice and quiet place in Orange, Connecticut.”
“I took the pup here and it’s an easy trail.”
Well marked blue trail in a loop (circle). It is also marked with mile and half mile markers. Trail extends to a mowed grass area near the parking lot. It can get pretty muddy & watery as it’s surrounded by several ponds. Turkey HILL is pretty hilly too! Easy to find from road & plenty of parking.
Largest Orange, CT walking trail through rolling hills in the woods with Aprox. 2 mile loop, we’ll marked (vertical blue stripe going counterclockwise and round blue circle going clockwise), beautiful ferns, boulders, ample parking at entrance.
A beautiful walk in the woods. It's short, about 1.9 miles, but relaxing and there is one very nice spot where one almost towers above the trees off to the west.
Beautiful and well kept. A great place to get out under some leafy canopies. Definitely pack your water as the trail is quite long.
