We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of TVA Trail Access yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about TVA Trail Access
Not the perfect place for a long walk, but walking friendly paths with some mild grades to get the heart rate up. Probably good for interval training if you're running.
It opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset. I definitely recommend this for any runner, especially beginners. I'm a powerlifter who hasn't run much in the past year due to a back injury, and today was my first day running a trail. It is absolutely beautiful and well kept up trail.
Cons: No bathrooms, hiking time might be short for most people (personally, I like short loops that I can continue walking through) Pro: Has an area for forest hiking PLUS an open play area. The hills would be great for sledding later in winter. Almost never any people there, so it's peaceful.
Trail conditions & character
“The first Incline is a bit steep and not easy on the feet.”
