Confirmed from Union Plaza's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a picnic area and fountain, plus art pieces, a playground and music.
What runners say about Union Plaza
“Great place to walk and enjoy the flowers and different kind's of plants and the way they landscape is absolutely beautiful with stream running down the middle of park.”
Great little cafe, excellent park with a stream and walking trails and bike trails. The far end of the park connects to a playground with a water feature. On Wednesdays they do a farmers market and even had a string band there today. I also saw a little bunny rabbit!
A very peaceful, & pleasant place to walk or bike through. The stream that runs through it has lily pads. On either side of the sidewalks their are different kinds of things to look at and read about it. Overall a great place to visit.
We were here in February. While it was colder and we did walk through the park and along the path, the fountains were shut off for winter and it was too chilly to picnic. Definitely would love to see in summer.
As someone who lives in the area and is on this trail almost every day, I am so thankful for having such amazing trail systems in Lincoln. But I also think we need more. Walking can be difficult at times in Lincoln, and I hope the city can invest more in trails and green spaces.
