Confirmed from Upper Las Virgenes Cyn Open Space Preserve LV Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Fantastic park space that ties into Cheeseboro on the west and Victory Trail-head on the east. Mostly fire roads with some single track that if you are paying attention you'll find. Gets really hot so bring water and a hat because there is no shade. Avoid after a rain as the trails turn into giant mud pits.

The Superbloom was begun here, the rolling hillsides are covered in yellow, purple and some orange and the trail is nice and clean. You can park on the street right off the trailhead and walk as far as you like. Not a ton of shade, so bring water, wear sunscreen and a hat...or your gonna have a bad time.👍

This is one of my favorite trails and my go-to. I’ve seen this area through all seasons and it’s incredible how much the landscape changes. It’s a moderate trail with more inclines as you go deeper into the hills. And the best time to see wild flowers in bloom is between April and June.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
