Confirmed from Uwharrie - Walkers Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Leave the road and head uphill on a well maintained gravel drive. It will feel like you are on someone's driveway. Near the top you will see a well maintained gravel parking area with enough space for 10-12 large vehicles. The trailhead has no restroom burmt is well graded.

Nice trailhead with plenty of open area for tents and trees for hammocks. There are a few shelters that can be used during bad weather. If the weather is nice, there are some great views of the National Forest at sunset. If you're doing the whole hike, it is a three-mile road walk to Robins Branch trailhead.

Great new/old trail! Big plus because it is close to me (Concord NC) and has a little up/down, distance, stream crossing. No scenic vistas but completely forested.

Parking for quite a few cars, and what a wonderful hike! Don’t miss the slab pile side trail. I could sit and listen to Walker Creek for hours.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
