Confirmed from Vaughn's Gap's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Vaughn's Gap
“This park has great running and hiking trails as well as a nice greenway.”
This park has great running and hiking trails as well as a nice greenway. Can get pretty messy when it rains but is most of the time a great area for exercise. Lots of places to relax as well and even a dog park. Overall great park!
Field long highway 100 in the Percy Warner park. Good for dogs and easy access to Percy and Edwin trails. There are typically several port o johns available. There are grass trails through the fields. Recommend parking here over the crowded nature center lot in Edwin.
Nice park, probably great for cyclists, nice trails for walking but it's pretty popular, so often crowded.
I took my grandson to run cross-country for the first time at this track. It was a very hot and humid day. thankfully we brought plenty of water and bug spray. There are a few picnic tables to sit at, and we brought our chairs as well.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
