Confirmed from Ventura River Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ventura River Bike Trail
“Although not exactly “scenic” compared to other beach rides, it’s well-maintained and long enough for a serious ride (~15 mi.”
Been using the bike trail for years. It's an easy way to get to the north end of Ventura Ave. The updated lighting along the first quarter mile should be a major improvement. This bike trail goes all the way to Ojai, which is pretty cool.
We rented e bikes and rode on the Ventura River bike trail all the way to Carpentaria. It is a nice, easy trail to ride on. I loved riding close to Surfers Point and going north.
We started on this trail and it took us to the Ojai Bike Trail. What a day! We experienced all weather while on the trails. Am making this a 'must do' every time I'm here!!
Although not exactly “scenic” compared to other beach rides, it’s well-maintained and long enough for a serious ride (~15 mi.) it’s a slight grade most of the way from Ventura, but has no real significant hills.
