Confirmed from Verrado Lost Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This natural area is a desert-landscape with views of the mountains (sometimes quiet), as well as trails for hiking and biking.
What runners say about Verrado Lost Creek Trail
“Very beautiful and peaceful area is no water or bathroom and about 1 mile away from the parking lot you will find a american indian rewriting on a big boulder”
This trail head is the main trail; note that there are several others, including the Petroglyphs trail, which is the one I took this time. If you take that one, it’s. 4.1 mile moderate hike. Once you pass the petroglyphs, you’ll see a sign that says not a Trailhead; which is regarding the wash.
The Scar is a good, demanding hike. The first 3.7 miles are very moderate mostly on a dirt road. The steep incline up the scar is about .7 miles and very challenging. Not for the beginner. Then descending is both challenging and painful for your knees and hips. Take it slow.
This was a hike that I took for granted. It has some peaks that I had to stop and catch my breath. Not a ton of shade and it was about an hour long. It was fun and a great way to see some fun lil animals (no 🐍)!
Awesome trails, bring lots of water and hiking boots and hats, it's the desert folks. Enjoy! Lots of different trails and you can connect to Skyline Park! Try the quartz mine trail to skyline crest beautiful! Wonderful lots of trails
