Confirmed from Scenic Overlook at Trail #340's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Stairs, often used for workouts, climb to scenic overlooks and hiking paths.
What runners say about Scenic Overlook at Trail #340
“There are 340 steps to climb (called the "Victory Stairs") to get to the scenic view, and then trails from there to get even higher.”
Great place for some nice views. It's 340 steps then it's regular type rocky trails from there on out. It's steep and could be tiring for some. Take water and be careful.
There are 340 steps to climb (called the "Victory Stairs") to get to the scenic view, and then trails from there to get even higher. The trails are steep with a lot of spots where you must climb rocks to continue. Very fun but make sure to wear shoes with good traction!
Short, non-strenuous hiking paths, well marked from map if entering from stair trailhead. Walking up the stairs is likely challenging for many but alternate paths are available. View is ok - mainly just another cookie cutter Phoenix area housing development. Pleasant if local otherwise not worthwhile.
