Confirmed from Veterans Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park with a skate park, playground and a splash pad plus ponds and dog parks.

We were staying at Lake Mead and wanted a place to walk our dog Nugget. Googled parks and came here. This is a very nice park with lots of trees and walking paths. Very green compared to the desert around us. They have a kids play area and splash park.
We love it here! Great dog park always clean! Not a lot of people but everyone takes pride in keeping it clean quiet and safe! Our dogs love to run around and then we walk up to the upper part to see the ducks on the first pond. We avoid the second pond because people enjoy fishing there and the dogs are ... well dogs!
This is a relaxing place to visit. You can sit quietly,go for a walk around the ponds, sit on one of the many benches along your way. Bring children to the playground, walk in the trees… I have never been to a park with so many workers. These people were the paid workers, not volunteers.
Such an awesome park. A little bit of everything for everyone. Dog parks, trails, wide open fields, baseball fields, basketball courts, skate parks, BMX racetrack, two ponds one for fishing the other full of ducks. Multiple playgrounds for kids and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. What a great park

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
