Confirmed from Veterans Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park featuring playgrounds, sports fields, basketball courts and other play facilities for kids.
What runners say about Veterans Memorial Park
“Clean, maintained, easy access.”
“My friends and I were able to find seats close to the fireworks display, and the view was absolutely beautiful.”
One of the most attractive parks in Monroe County. Always a lot going on at park. There are tennis courts 🎾basketball courts 🏀 softball 🥎 baseball ⚾️ fields. Football 🏈 field. Big playground 🛝 for kids. Cabins for family events. Hiking 🥾 trail for those who want to just walk or jog for exercise.
Excellent place to walk, picnic, engage in sports, have birthday parties and other functions, lodges available with reservation, massive playground, splash pad. Dog walking. New concert shell being built! Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms with plumbing. Close to recreation center, senior center, library and town hall.
What a great place to have a picnic! We rented the Roberts cabin for a huge family get together, there was so much space for the kids to run free and the playgrounds are perfect for the kids, My only complaint was the bees. But with lots of sweet food comes those pesky bees.
