Confirmed from Veteran's Memorial Park Of Collegedale's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (351 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“It is always well kept and landscaped.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“Very impressive surprise, quality memorial, beautiful setting, bike trails, benches, duck pond nearby, great place to visit, maybe have a picnic, bring the kids”

Hidden gem in small Tennessee town. There should be more monuments like this around America to honor those who sacrificed so much to keep us safe and allow us to enjoy our freedoms today. So many people these days are blind to the fact that their freedom was paid for dearly by these brave soldiers.

It is an amazing park, the displays are beautiful, the flagpoles are pretty cool, and the area a bit north of the park is very pretty. I keep seeing many people complaining about parking, but you simply just need to walk a bit from the playground.

Nice place for a picnic or walk/jog/bike ride. Well maintained. Safe area, police station is right across the road. Beautiful memorial structures in place. Many local events are held here including the town 4th of July celebration and fireworks.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
