Confirmed from Veterans Oasis Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What a beautiful park! Came here for a jazz concert in the evening and decided to come earlier to check out the Nature Center, walk around the lake and go a little off trail to the man made running creek. So fun that my granddaughter wanted to walk around 3 times. A lot of people came to fish.

After hiking in Sedona and Saguaro I didn’t have high hopes for a local community park, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a hidden gem in the middle of the city with lots of wildlife, flowers, plants and trees. If you decide to take this walk, don’t just stick to the outside as it’s mapped out in All Trails.

I loved it! It's gorgeous, it's well taken care of, it's clean, and there are a bunch of different trails to explore! It has a little flora center and trail where you can learn about native plants, and cool tidbits about planets.

very peaceful and so many trails to choose from … all easy! there were people fishing today, but I didn’t see them catching anything lol but nice collection of ducks! Plus, they have the nature center there. That’s really interesting has some great displays.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
