Stayed in the campground for 2 weeks. We enjoyed our stay overall but took one stay away because the sites are so close together. The way they are staggered there is no privacy outside of your rig. When we opened our door the fireplace & picnic table of the space next to us were right there.
Very pleased with Village Creek State Park, I camped here for four nights and never had an issue. The park was clean and the staff was friendly. I went on about half of the trails at the park and was pleased with all of them.
I've stayed here twice. Once in a tent, that experience was ok. The spaces are tight. This time we stayed in a cabin. It was really nice and peaceful the restroom was nice and big. The kitchen was very nice. Plenty of hot water to go around. The fishing and swimming access wasn't good. However, it was very quiet.
We stayed at the group site. The parking lot is right at the trailhead. The walk in is on a well kept path and is indeed an easy 100yd walk. A wagon will help move equipment in. There are 4 areas with fire rings and a table. There is a larger central ring. There is a single facet.

“Site #6 would be great for a van camper, as the parking spot is probably too short for a trailer camper, and it did not have a tent spot due to the spot being against a creek.”
