Confirmed from Village Green Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood green space with picnic shelter, 2 playgrounds, and artificial-turf field.
What runners say about Village Green Park
“Picnic tables and benches under a shelter, everything was nice, clean and well-spaced.”
“Wonderful park with two new playgrounds, a large turf field and a walking path that’s shaded with trees.”
“Great playground for families because there are plenty of covered picnic tables and playground equipment and fields for siblings of all ages.”
Nice newer play equipment, great covered shaded picnic area. Beautiful astroturf soccer field.Lastly, a nice little FLAT walking trail around the perimeter!
If you run through the trail too quickly, you'll just go from pavement to pavement -- bike rides to Best Buy, rainy soccer on Saturdays, lightning bugs as June ended, humid summer picnics broken by clouds -- too fast and you may miss the fact, that you were ever in the forest at all.
Nice neighborhood park. First time there. Picnic tables and benches under a shelter, everything was nice, clean and well-spaced. Nice little area for kids under 10 years old. Great football field to have a walk around, artificial turf and padding underneath.
Excellent place to play sports on turf, have a little jog, and do so pull ups. Also has playground for kids and a small covered area for a picnic. Well maintained. Restrooms seem to work only during the warm months
Trail conditions & character
“Only real complaint: why have bathrooms at a playground if thier goin be locked on a sunny nice sunday afternoon.”
“Wonderful park with two new playgrounds, a large turf field and a walking path that’s shaded with trees.”
