We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Village Spur Rail Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Village Spur Rail Trail
Well-maintained beginners trail with two Covered Bridges (actually one that was purchased for a dollar and split in two for twice the enjoyment!) This was once a railroad and the parking lot is conveniently place just before the intersection of Rte 140 and Main Street, Belmont.
The covered bridge caught my attention and I was thrilled to learn that there is a rail trail to explore and bring my kids here one day! I crossed the covered bridge and walked to one end 🔚 of the trail. It ends near the road and a building. The trail looks wheelchair ♿ and stroller accessable.
