Confirmed from Laconia Sledding Hill's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a large hill for sledding that's suitable for children.
What runners say about Laconia Sledding Hill
Great for the little ones. If you'd like to enjoy a nice family day without stress, this is the place to go. My 4 and 8 year old really enjoy this place and spend hours upon hours there. Sometimes you get lucky and end up seeing a Bull Moose scamper across your path. Great sights and good memories.
Prior to this spot we always went to the Tilton prep school or Bristol hill but this is much larger and longer. If your kids are younger this hill might not be best because it is VERY steep so you go a lot faster then most other places.
Has one street light. Small parking area 5 smaller cars/or 3-4 large. Large hill for safe distance of sliders. Some bumps, jumps and ice spots in well packed areas. Overall a great and I think only public (safe as well) sledding area. No restrooms.
We had a great time. The day we went was bitter cold but there is an amazing view from the top of the hill. I look forward to going back and posting a picture. Nice steep hill and not at all crowded.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
