Confirmed from Vinegar Hollow's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Unmarked but well-maintained path for casual hikers and dog walkers.

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“A nice easy hike that makes you feel like your in the woods and located right in the neighborhood.”

Nice easy trail. The entrance is hard to find and unlabeled. See the first pic for practically hidden entrance and unrelated nearby signs. It's on the opposite side of the street from the Presbyterian church (see last pic, standing at trail looking at church).

A quite little spot tucked in Ben Avon/Aavlon/ some little space of town in the North! Lol. The opening We found was right in the area of The "Mike Fincke Astronaut" sign. It's not marked, I guess if You know, You know! It is a beautiful hidden gem! Way more expansive than originally thought walking in.

Beautiful trail with a lot of huge trees. You can really see erosion taking plane in real time. So many local critters and birds too. Parking is not the best though.

Really nice trail in Ben Avon. Our dog seemed to love running up and down the hills. The Google GPS layout of it isn't 100% accurate, but you can't really get lost as it's basically a single path. It's also got a few muddy patches since it is along a creek, so be prepared for that. Definitely a place to go back to!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
