I visited VINS for the first time yesterday with my father who has restricted mobility. We left the wheelchair in the car and used his mobility scooter all day. He was able to do nearly everything in the park except for a few trails with steep rocks and roots.
I came across VINS Nature Center driving back from Quechee and was curious enough to stop by. IT IS TOTALLY WORTH THE TRIP! A must see for raptor lovers and I loved learning about local New England wildlife and their rehabilitation work.
Fun and educational place to learn about rescued birds of many kinds. The forest walk up in the trees is great! There is an observation deck 100 feet up that gives spectacular views all around. Excellent place for kids and families to visit.
Loved this place, a great place for kids. Our favorite was the canopy walk and the huge spider net that the kids could go in. So many birds and owls, plus the kids loved the dinosaurs. There was also a great little beaver room for toddlers.
