We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Virginia B. Matley Nature Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Virginia B. Matley Nature Trail
“Such a pleasant walk through a beautiful, peaceful wooded area”
A really beautiful peaceful area wonderful Trails very quiet. Excellent walk well-maintained great piece of property and surroundings very nice good parking you will definitely enjoy a peaceful peaceful peaceful time. Other unique cool things in the surrounding property such as old farm houses from the early 1800
Cute and short trail. It's kind of in a bowtie form. Longer straight path then 2 loops (1 to the left and 1 to the right). They meet back up at the longer path. Nice little hike away from craziness. It has a few cute animal statues along the path to engage younger children.
We didn't really know what we we're expecting but this is a lovely nature trail. It is close enough to shopping areas where you can just stop by and take some time to enjoy nature. We went a bit late in the day and the woods are super dense so it got a bit dark.
A nice, safe short wooded trail that starts with a large and clear path then diverted into smaller, tougher paths with plaques of info about the wildlife. Didn’t see anything big, but my daughter (5 years old) had a great time. About a 40 minute trek if you aren’t rushing.
