We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Ward Woods Nature Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ward Woods Nature Trails
Went hiking with the pup ❤ Cute swirl of trails through the woods. There are no trail maps from what I could tell, but there are named trails (i.e. Chipmunk Trail). If you keep walking straight through the wooded area, across the river and back road, there is another hiking trail (mapped) as well as a biking trail.
nice secret spot for a hike in the woods, this will end up a 400 acre park in the future , but for now its a hidden spot with the place to yourself , trail ends at the river just follow the old rail road bed , several trails that all connect , couple of buildings still need to be demolished along the hike
Who else used to take this trail to the old northville psychiatric hospital was the best way in lol how times have changed now looks way different from 5 years ago
