Confirmed from Vlei Marsh Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Vlei Marsh Trail
This is a brand new trail that opened on June 5th. I don’t know if it’s still a secret or if it was too hot but there weren’t many people for a Sunday morning. There is currently an Enchanted Forest art installation along the main trail which is very cool.
Very cool spot. No real signage so look for a mailbox at 186 Vlei. Bring bug spray and check out the red loop to find hidden wooden creatures and the fairy village!
A life affirming, inspiring, and beautiful trail in a peaceful location. Has a really mystical energy, a true fairy preserve. Full of surprises and great places for reflection and listening.
