Confirmed from W&OD Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spot for hiking, biking, and walking, featuring paved and unpaved trails.
What runners say about W&OD Trailhead
Local favorite bike trail. I used to ride every weekend. It's one of my favorite trails in the DC area. This and the C&O canal road are where I can get some easy mileage in and see different towns. Highly recommend if you like distance biking.
The most happening place around herndon for cycling, walking and running...Decent trail exclusively maintained well..
Beautiful and popular trail. Nice for a walk or bike ride as there are two separate paths.
The trailhead off of Elden street is a great place to ride to or meet. There is a cool bike shop that serves excellent coffee and has annoutdoor beer stand. Plus there's a Dairy Queen and a Latin bakery with veru good fresh pastries.
