Confirmed from W G Jones State Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Known for its champion sweetleaf tree, this public forest features trails, picnic areas & 2 lakes.

“WG Jones is one of my go-to spots—I come here all the time with both of my dogs and we love it.”
Gorgeous scenery, great place for horses and for mountain bikes, fishing or just walking. I’ve done all of it here and love being in nature. Such a peaceful area. Plenary of room to park and unload horses as well as a place to mount for folks with disabilities. I used to often take my dogs on horse back rides as well.
Really good place for a walk, run or even for a picnic, it has some picnic area near the lake, you can fish there as well, catch and release only. It has several trails and for sure more than once you will spot some deer 🦌. Highly recommendable to bring your kids or pets. You won't regret.
I just moved into the area. This state forest is a short 1.5 mile ride or walk from me. Scenic, quiet, nice wide paths. I need to come here more often to explore.
This is a huge park! Our family really enjoyed walking the trails and enjoying the wildlife and scenery at this park. There are plenty of places to sit with lots of benches and several stadium type seating available. There are several ponds that are great for fishing.
