Confirmed from W. W. Knight Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Well designed, well maintained, friendly and knowledgable staff, and lots of deer.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“The views are beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“Nature and peaceful atmosphere.”

This nature preserve was surprisingly fun. There are three trails you can walk on. Almost all of them are the same length, but they aren't too long and are very manageable. We went on the one that went around the larger part of the lake and there were lots of things to look at.

Beautiful area! I took my time and was there for roughly 40 minutes. Took the outer most loop that wrapped around all of the ponds and it came out to be just under 1.5 miles. Flat, stone trails with a few boardwalks.

★★★★★ — Nick , Oct 2024

Pond, field, forest, flora and fauna and a great nature center with rental facility too! Walking trails are easy and short that circle the ponds and forest. Plenty of fish, birds, deer, flowers, etc. ADA friendly. Great educational programs for youth.

Beautiful place and very well kept up. Enjoyed walking the paths and sitting by the ponds. Little shelter houses with picnic tables. Lots of parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
