Confirmed from Walker County Public Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The Walker County Lake is a great place for anglers of all ages to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing day of fishing whether it be on the beautiful and clean banks or covered pier in your fold out chairs, or trolling around the 163 acre lake in one of the many flat bottom boats available to rent at the main office; or…

One of my favorite places in walker co. The lake is beautiful the people that run it are top notch couldn't ask for any better. The caretakers grandson is a hoot to talk to the spark and excitement in his eyes reminds me of why I love fishing so much! They have two archery ranges that are well taken care of.

I didn’t go to fish but went for birding. I really enjoyed the beautiful lake and the birds. The nature trail is awesome. If you are thinking about checking them out please check out their Facebook page. Google has all of their info WRONG. You will find correct, up to date, info on their Facebook page.

Great place! Plenty of areas to hang out and fish. Also, walking trails. Has a store and decent bathroom to use, when you first come in. My family had a great time and we will be visiting again.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
