Confirmed from Walton Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Walton Park
“Steep in some places, but a beautiful space.”
“Quite, serene swimming hole.”
Nice trails down to the river. The lookout point is also a great vantage point for photos!
Small trail good place to fish. Kinda steep walk down to Presumpscot River... 28 mile river...
A small parking lot is the start of an easy, but steep, trail down to the water. At the end there is a public dock down to the river. Be careful at low tide as the ramp gets very steep and slippery. Off of the main pathway are a number of smaller foot trails leading up the river to the dam.
Wonderful place to take a short walk. Trail leads down to the river and you can see the bridge from below. Great walk to help build endurance and strength if you need the physical therapy. Parking on spot and area was clean.
