We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Wardsworth Canyon Trail Head yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It’s a relaxing trail along a river that is very family friendly!”

This is by far the best trail ive been is a pretty easy hike with creek crossings so make sure you have waterproof shoes if you want your feet warm and dry or not the water is not that cold so the hike goes through a narrow canyon along side this creek, is great for mountain biking but not ideal, horse back ridding and…

Hidden gem. Lots of river crossings. Birds, and beautiful leaves in October! Saw about 8 people. But pretty much the trail to yourself. Moderate level hike should have some experience. A little anti climatic ending. But worth walking down this canyon!

Very easy and beautiful hike. Best seasons are in the Spring and the Fall. There are a couple of Creek crossings, but nothing too difficult.

My family takes a walk Wardsworth Trail every Sunday evening. It’s a relaxing trail along a river that is very family friendly! Though, there are some places where it gets a little steep. Other than that, it’s a great trail and the scenery is beautiful.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 10 mentions

“The views at the top are amazing and worth doing in the morning or evening.”
