Confirmed from Washington Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (2,133 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“park is very very clean, they have a map by bathrooms which are clean .”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful recreational park with an amphitheater, pavilions, playgrounds, sporting fields, bike shares, and of course hiking trails.”

Very nice park with a few great trails and long walking paths. I enjoy this park a lot! It's a big park with lots to explore. Entrance in back also . The entrance in back is called cedar lake park. Which has a dog park. The parks are connected by a gravel trail. It’s a big place but well maintained.

Its nice park with a lot of nice view and trails. Its accessible if you would like to take someone who needs assistance. Fresh air and lots of ducks around . Make sure you be carefully because there are some bushes that made my feet itch. Have fun and chevk out the pictures .

I truly enjoy going to this park! There is a lot to do here. It’s very clean and safe. Fun for the family or if you’re alone just walking. There is plenty of trails to walk and a few water ways to visit. There is a coi pond to visit and 2 separate ponds to fish at.

10/30/2021: Came here for a 5K Race. Brought our dog to walk but was told that Pets Not Allowed in the whole park! So we had to keep our dog in the car all the time. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful recreational park with an amphitheater, pavilions, playgrounds, sporting fields, bike shares, and of course hiking trails..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Washington Lake Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
