Confirmed from Ceres Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded park offering paths for hiking, biking and dog walking, plus marked and unmarked trails.
What runners say about Ceres Park
“If you have a well behaved off leash dog, she will love the numerous trails and creeks in this park.”
Beautiful park- labyrinth of trails, so getting turned around is easy. I now carry pepper spray after a close encounter with an aggressive off leash dog.
Ceres Park back lot is one of the best hiking and mountain biking spots in Gloucester County. It’s a hidden gem with a small parking lot and no signs advertising it’s location. The rope swing is one of our favorite stops.
A wonderful, wild park! There are marked trails, but numerous crisscrossing unmarked paths. So it might be easy to get lost if you aren't paying attention. A moderate hike, with plenty of interesting places to explore!
Excellent place for walking an adventurous dog like mine. I could easily see people getting lost here so pay close attention to the trail map before entering.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
