Confirmed from Washougal Waterfront Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Washougal Waterfront Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (832 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 13 mentions

“It's new and very well kept, with fantastic views of the Columbia River.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“Also lots of scenic picnic areas with little to no shade and a covered party space for maybe 25+ people.”

This is one of my favorite places to watch the sunset. There is a nice trail, too, with a playground not too far from the parking lot, but it is not at the parking lot, so you do have to walk a few minutes. But it is a beautiful trail, and it is paved and relatively flat.

Love this safe place to walk. Large paved walking area, well lit, restrooms and an amazing view. You feel like you’re lost in nature but you’re close to town. This is a wonderful walk. Great exercise. You can even wander down the public dock if you want to be closer to the water.

A beautiful park and nice addition to the area. Thee park is is clean and well kept and the views of Mt. Hood are amazing. Pre Covid, we spent time here during 4th of July to watch the fireworks and it was pretty epic. The marina is just next to the park and the Puffin Cafe serves up some really good grub.

Nice walking path beautiful scenery sad part is their putting in apartment buildings and in the long run added shopping and restaurants on the other side of the walkway hope they do it right otherwise it's going to ruin a beautiful ecosystem.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“Dog friendly please pick up after your pet lots of people here daily walking its perfect for that and lots of fresh river air and moonlit night views.”
