Confirmed from Watershed MTN Bike Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Easy, intermediate and advanced single-track trails for hiking and mountain biking, as well as bike maintenance.
What runners say about Watershed MTN Bike Trails
“True singletrack and beautiful scenery with some unique plant life higher up.”
“Great trails for all levels of riding.”
Tough climb (elevation) going up Bees Knees, but very doable with many switchbacks. Well worth the views and descent down Stemwinder, which was nonstop berms, jumps and overall flow.
These trails are a gem, and should be realized as an asset to a city/county that needs tourism. Both the green (easiest difficulty rating) Pines Loop Trail, and the blue (moderate/intermediate difficulty rating) River Loop Trail are easily manageable by a novice rider.
Great trails! Some of the most fun trails in the area. More new stuff will be coming soon too!
Awesome trails! This was my first time here. I tried out all three trails in about an hour and they were a lot of fun. A more experienced rider could get it done faster.

“There were a couple of sections on the Cat’s Pajamas that were too steep for my skill level especially with all leaves falling so I just walked/slid down those parts.”

“Flat'ish meandering single track trail that increases in challenge as you ride into the next loop.”

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
