Confirmed from Weatherford Heritage Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This park across from the police department features a playground, a dog park, trees & more.
What runners say about Weatherford Heritage Park
“Great vendors, great prices, found a few items that I needed and beautiful fall weekend.”
I go once a month with my husband to 1st Monday. Depending on the time of year it depends on how busy they are. We like to get there in the morning. It usually takes a good hour or two just to walk and see all the tables set up.
This place was smaller than I anticipated but the pictures don't do it justice, there are amazing little spots to just enjoy nature and sit or even have a picnic, it's nice to see a park actually be taken care of.
Beautiful park, very well kept, and clean, with nice shade along pathway. Did not walk entire trail, but there was a beautiful pond with seating to relax and enjoy. Some picnicking areas under shade trees near stage areas. Did not see restrooms but may not have walked far enough.
While walking this evening at Heritage Park, this Beautiful Rainbow was hovering above. Thank you Universe!
Trail conditions & character
“I'd suggest going after a nice rain comes in so the waterfall looks at its best and you will probably see less people although it's never been crowded when I came.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
