Confirmed from Wesselman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling recreation area offering baseball fields, basketball goals and a nature center.
What runners say about Wesselman Park
“Well maintained recreational park area at the Wesselmans nature preserve location, entry is free and there is some picnic areas and playground equipment.”
Nice playgrounds for kids, lots of grassy open areas to play frisbee, soccer, and other sports, and nice open air shelters. I haven't been on the trails yet, but I look forward to checking them out on a future visit! Also worth noting that the swings are nice - they're typically the reason I go. 😂
My kids love playing here. Very little bug issues. Smells good and is relatively clean. Almost always busy with lots of kids for your little ones to play with. Sometimes the big kids can be a little aggressive and rowdy running around, but that is something that happens everywhere you go.
Wonderful time as always. I'm a Roadie and DoorDash driver and this is a place I can sit in or out of my vehicle and wait for runs when it gets slow. No one bothers you, its quiet and there is always a spot in the shade somewhere.
My first visit to do the Resolution Run. Seems like a nice park, but it was a cold and rainy Saturday morning in January, so I'll have to return when it's warmer! *Returned to another cold day... but it was a good 15K!
