Confirmed from Wesselman Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a nature center, an outdoor playground and animal exhibits.

The nature center and nature preserve are beautiful. Admission is reasonable and the staff are friendly. The grounds are maintained as natural woods and they’re quiet and lush with growth. The walking trails are clearly marked and kept clean and walkable.
You’ll find nature, places for kids to run around and play, and the oldest trees in Indiana. There is a nature center with educational exhibits and hands on learning for kids. There are lookouts on the water with fish and turtles to observe. The trails are easy and shaded in lush greenery.
A real treasure here on the east side of Evansville! A great place to walk in nature. The trails are nicely maintained year round.
This natural area which includes an old growth yet urban forest with an incredible learning center is one of Evansville, Indiana's most important public spaces. Kids absolutely love visiting here without even realizing they are learning and being connected to nature. Adults love it as well.

- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
