Confirmed from West Branch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The face of the park is this quiet little soccer field just off the road.”

The face of the park is this quiet little soccer field just off the road. I'm the right side is a kids playground that I didn't get to check out. The fields were just mowed and the scenery was nice. That being said, the real hidden gem is what's behind the fields.

★★★★☆ — Gregory , May 2019

Very nice little park, they have bathrooms and a walking track. In addition to nice playground and football/soccer/baseball facilities. And next to the creek, also building another park across the street. Usually very quiet. Gets popular at lunch time for all the people going there to have lunch outside.

★★★★★ — Toby , Sep 2018

Nice little community park with two well kept sports fields surrounded by a paved walkway with numerous benches. There is a kid's play area and porta pottys as you enter. To the right of the walkway through a short wood is a clean running stream, great on a warm day. Dog poop bags available as you enter.

★★★★★ — George , Sep 2019

Overall the park is a nice place to get away and relax be it mid day at lunch or just to walk around the field. The only things in reference to noise worth mentioning is that there will be some road noise from Schoolhouse Road as well as the occasional commuter train that passes by on the SEPTA rails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
