We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of West Canyon Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about West Canyon Trailhead
“Beautiful tons of yellow flowers just park off to the side of West Canyon Road and walk towards the yellow.”
Beautiful tons of yellow flowers just park off to the side of West Canyon Road and walk towards the yellow. There is a stream too. Lots of mosquitoes but what can you do.
Beautiful views and not another hiker in sight the entire time we were on the trail. The only garbage we spotted was a Coors can from the 1970s. Next time I might bring bug spray because the mosquitoes were thirsty.
Rough road into the parking lot. Not a huge unloading area and the trail starts off pretty rough but it really is an amazing dirt bike trail!
Wife and I went hiking and to take a few pictures, it was a pleasant experience and plan to go again soon.
