Confirmed from West McMinnville Linear Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground and slides providing a space for kids to play.
What runners say about West McMinnville Linear Park
“Very well kept and I feel safe.”
Open with benches both in shade and sun. Well kept. Connects the Walnut Grove path with both a split to Discovery Park and Linfield College. Venture off the path find something new.
Nice park with lots of grass and curving paths. Has a small playground stop for the kids with benches for the rest of us. There are no restrooms. Side paths head off in to the neighbourhoods. There is a small stream running along the South side from West to East. The East end of the stream is more permanent.
My backyard borders the northern end of this greenway. Have been walking it for 25 years both with and without my dog. There is a nice small playground, lots of benches to rest on and easy access to local streets. Very well kept and I feel safe. One mile each way.
Great pedestrian-friendly way to get around a neighborhood. More cities should build path systems like these.
Trail conditions & character
“not much to it has a nice path to walk the dog or take a stroll with the kids.”
“There are no parking lots but plenty of parking on neighborhood streets.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
