Confirmed from West Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
25-acre park featuring baseball & soccer fields, a skate park, play equipment & picnic pavilions.
What runners say about West Park
“While not the largest skate park, it is pretty well maintained and not too busy.”
“You could picnic beneath a shade tree or on bleachers but there are not the traditional tables and pavilions.”
Clean park. Roy West Park is home to the annual Roy Days celebration, as well as the Movie in the Park nights during the summer. It has 27.47 acres and is comprised of the following facilities: three softball/ baseball fields with lights and scoreboards, concession stands, two lacrosse fields, two soccer fields,…
West park is great for sporting events but can become over crowded easily. They have over flow parking across from the skate park but you do have to walk for a bit. The park is well maintained as far as baseball fields go. There's a path you can walk around everything. This isn't a park with swings and playground.
Great park! Probably one of the best parks in the area, there is a lot of space to anything you would want as an activity (Soccer fields, baseball diamond, skate park, jog track) you name it they have space to do it here. The only downsides here is it has a lot of sports played here from leagues so plan accordingly.
I use the park as an entrance into the bike/running path and the path's amazing. I have no idea how far it goes, but I haven't gotten to the end of it yet! If you're trying to get into running or biking in Roy, West Park's a great place to start.

“If you have a dog on leash and pick up after it then that's okay but not exactly the best destination to exercise your pet when they're busy with community games etc.”
