Confirmed from Westside Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Westside Trail
“Well maintained with numerous switchbacks so the elevation gain isn't too crazy.”
“Great place to take your dog for a run and not have to worry about traffic”
Easy, smooth trail, great place for a leisurely walk, the power lines are cool and the environment can be beautiful, but not great if you're looking to be surrounded by nature.
A nice easy hike. It goes on forever so you can choose your distance. Bring water in the heat as there isn't much shade and no drinking fountain. Dogs love this walk.
This is a great place to pick blackberries in the fall. There are bushes all along the trail. ❤️

Trail conditions & character
“Recommend for 7 speed bikes with good brakes or 1000 watt e scooters and e bike as it is very hilly and steep.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
