Confirmed from Whistle Stop Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with facilities for baseball, basketball, tennis, skateboarding, volleyball, and picnicking, plus a splash pad.

A great community park with so many amenities. The shaded playground and splash pad were nice and well maintained. The skate park was pretty big. Walking path with exercise stations around the park. Basketball, tennis, volleyball courts and baseball field. The dog park was busy and has its own parking.
Wow! There aren’t enough words in the English vocabulary that I can use to brag about Whistle Stop Park. The grounds are exceptionally clean. Nice restrooms Fun water splash pad Tennis courts Volleyball Basketball Baseball!
We found this park by accident and it totally surprised us. Everything is so new and clean, and there are so many amenities: playground with a big sun shade, a water park, a skate park, 2 tennis courts, 2 racket ball courts, a baseball field, a dog park, walking track with exercise facilities, and my happiest moment…
Whistle Stop Park has become a wonderful place for children of all ages, and for families. The remodel was magnificent!! Kids have such a blast in the splash park they built! We have an amazing time there, my 3 year old daughter and I.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
