Confirmed from Whitetop Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Athletic complex featuring softball & lighted soccer fields, plus a perimeter walking trail.
What runners say about Whitetop Creek Park
“My daughter team played softball here over the weekend , it’s a beautiful park and all of the staff where very friendly”
Great place for so many get together and events! We love to go behind the scenes And this is the perfect spot.. trails, sports, playground, and a pretty cheap pavilion you can rent!!
Heavily busy on Saturdays with Little League Baseball and other events. Great for family reunions. Great for walks or ride a bike. Nice area. That's open, but yet peaceful, busy. But yet calm and lots of parking. A very very cool country setting
Beautiful location. Nice bathroom facilities. Good walking trail. Pond. No fenced in dog park but there were quite a few people walking their dogs there. Nice playground. (2 poke-stops for pokemon go players)
I was surprised at how hidden the area was. The pond was gorgeous a d we got to see some wildlife too. Would definitely recommend for a quick walk around a pond or even a picnic.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
