Confirmed from Widewaters Canal Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Widewaters Canal Park
“And the view of the canal is beautiful - from the park and from wherever you are on the water.”
This is one of my favorite places along the Erie Canal. Easy place to put in and kayak or canoe or fish. And the view of the canal is beautiful - from the park and from wherever you are on the water. Note - the trail is on the other side of the canal.
A quiet park where you can launch a boat or Kayak, sit and watch the traffic on the canal, read a book or walk your leashed dog. The park has bathrooms, a pavilion area, picnic tables, and grilles. It is seasonal, but ice fisherman can be seen braving the cold.
nice small park. really relaxing place. close to town, but blocked by trees and 1 mile of terrain. I am going to go back. inspirational place.
