Confirmed from Wilderness Peak's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature-filled area for hiking and running trails, plus scenic points and streams.
What runners say about Wilderness Peak
“Peaceful and well maintained trail (low traffic) with ample directions.”
“The trail is fairly well groomed with several scenic points and streams and is good for photos.”
The trail is fairly well groomed with several scenic points and streams and is good for photos. The difficulty of it is moderate as almost 2 miles you go up all the time. I highly recommend having enough water as it is over 4 miles and will require a couple of breaks to reach the peak.
1200 ft elevation in less than 30 minutes. Round trip to Wilderness Peak is 4.3 miles but there’s not much to see as you reach the peak. Good cardio up. Peaceful and well maintained trail (low traffic) with ample directions.
Lovely trail to the high point of Cougar Mountain Regional Park. Forests are tranquil, trees are tall, and the trails are perfect for hiking or running.
My dog and I loved hiking up this lush green trail. There is a creek with water for your pooch to drink at the beginning and end.
